Weekending in Berlin

And I loved it. Check out my tips for the coolest spots in Mitte, Berlin’s busiest and most central district.

Doing Yoga every damn day

Well not quite. But about 4-5 days a week, which felt like A LOT! I’ve been upping my fitness game in general and to balance out all the cardio and HIIT, I’ve been adding 20 minutes of yoga to the end of every workout as well as doing an hour online class once a week. Finally, literally a year and a half after starting yoga, I am starting to see some proper progress with my flexibility! Turns out that whole ‘consistency is key’ thing is true.

On my new La Vie Boheme Yoga mat BTW!

I absolutely adore my Mandala travel mat from La Vie Boheme so I decided to get a second one! This time I went for the Najavo in white and I love it just as much!

Summer Dreaming

I live in Ireland; Summer will inevitably be a few sporadically sunny days here and there- if even that. But that can’t stop me from dreaming! Pinterest is feeding my sun infused daydreams at the moment.

Getting ready for Portugal!

Holiday essentials!

June 1st, I’m off to Bura Surhouse in Lagos, Portugal (Aer Lingus and Ryanair both have direct flights to Faro from Shannon. Handy!) Ten days of sun, yoga, beach and wine. All the good stuff in life!

Look out for my upcoming post on the perfect holiday capsule wardrobe!

Stocking up on summer reads

Like a lot of people, I have pretty varied reading tastes. I love a good novel- preferably set somewhere exotic obvs -as well as real life spy thrillers or political biographies. Below are some books I’ve recently devoured and highly reccomend!

Cooking ALL of the courgettes!

2016-04-21_15.10.14

My Hemsley + Hemsley spiraliser is one of the best kitchen gadgets I’ve ever bought; I use it at least once a week and it’s really helped me cut back on carbs. Courgetti and meatballs is a weekly staple of mine! I upped the ante recently when I tried courgette lasagne- using sliced courgettes instead of pasta sheets. It’s a really simple substitution (although make sure to grill the courgette slices first to dry them out) which my best friend Roisin and I really enjoyed. My dad also sampled it however and was not entirely convinced! One for low carb converts I reckon!
